Kind Hearts Bloom is a nonprofit organization founded by Kristen, the creator of Bestside Blooms. Its mission is to foster kindness and community connection through gardening and flowers.

While Bestside Blooms continues as a social enterprise offering beautiful flowers and services, Kind Hearts Bloom focuses on community-building programs, like teaching neighbors to grow flowers/food and donating blooms to brighten lives across Grand Rapids.

We wanted to expand the ways we can serve our community by focusing on education, community connection, and accessibility. A nonprofit structure allows us to host programs, apply for grants, and partner with other organizations to create a bigger impact.

There are so many ways to help us grow! You can:

• Volunteer at a Neighborhood Blooms garden or workshop.

• Donate to support our programs.

• Follow us on social media to share our mission.

• Spread the word to friends and family about what we’re doing.

Through Kind Hearts Bloom, the garden is used as a teaching space - check out our volunteer opportunities to join and get hands on experience in the garden.
